Exhibit A is the crime fiction imprint  of Angry Robot Books dedicated to books with cinematic spirit and a pulp moxy. Launched in late Spring 2013, we publish books simultaneously in the US and UK, in both paperback and eBook formats,  with selected titles also made available as audiobooks. Exhibit A titles are distributed through Random House  in North America and Faber in the UK.

Our aim with Exhibit A is simple: one look and you’re hooked. Whether it’s a hard hitting procedural, shocking psychological mystery, international noir tale or something entirely new, this is an ethos we’re running right through from our acquisitions strategy  to our eye-catching marketing strategies, covers and distinctive branding. Exhibit A is the new focal point for compelling fiction in the crime fiction community.

We’re looking for authors  who are not only great writers, but great ambassadors for the Exhibit A imprint, with a solid emphasis on fostering close relationships between authors and readers and producing books that can be enjoyed by all readers from fans of Castle to life-long historians of the genre.

The editor for Exhibit A is Bryon Quertermous and there are two ways to contact him with submissions:

Unagented submissions:
Email submissions only, and only full manuscripts accepted – no partials or outlines.

Please send an email that includes your name, address, telephone number, and a one to three paragraph synopsis of your work, along with the manuscript attached as a word or RTF file, to bryon.quertermous@angryrobotbooks.com

Note that due to the volume of submissions, a detailed reply in the case of a rejection may not always be possible.

Agented submissions:
Email submissions strongly preferred. Please query first with an email to bryon.quertermous@angryrobotbooks.com. The email should include a one to three paragraph synopsis of the project. Once prompted, you may submit a full or partial manuscript, or a detailed outline. A full manuscript is preferred for first time authors.

For all things publicity, and to contact any of our authors, please get in touch with our Publicity Manager Caroline Lambe at caroline.lambe@angryrobotbooks.com.
