A is for Ambition

Exhibit A is the crime fiction imprint with a cinematic sensibility. There’s nothing small screen about us. Just like your favorite movies, our books are going to immerse you fully in exciting new adventures that you’ll never forget. The characters you’ll meet on our pages and the electrifying situations and dilemmas you’ll encounter right alongside them will stay imprinted on your minds long after you’ve turned out the lights.

A is for Adrenalin

If you’re looking for M.O.R., or small town, small time criminals, then you’d better turn back, because we’re going to be driving bigger, meaner streets than that.  And if you came here craving cozies, then you should have checked the weather forecast first, because Exhibit A is all about brewing up storms – whether they’re international conspiracy thrillers, hard hitting procedurals, shocking psychological mysteries, or something entirely new.

A is for Addiction

Our aim with Exhibit A is simple: one look and you’re hooked. This is an ethos we’re running right through from our acquisitions strategy of finding authors with high-concept ideas and original voices, to our eye-catching marketing strategies, covers and distinctive branding, logo and website. We’re planning on making Exhibit A the new focal point for compelling crime fiction in the crime fiction community. Just the same as in any truly dramatic court case, Exhibit A will be the spot all eyes immediately focus on to see what happens next.

A is for Awesome Authors

Not only are our authors going to be great writers, they’re going to be great ambassadors for the Exhibit A imprint too, with a solid emphasis on on us helping them to foster close relationships between themselves and their readers.

Launching in late Spring 2013, we’ll be publishing books simultaneously in the US and UK, in both paperback and eBook formats,  with selected titles also made available as audiobooks. Distribution is through Random House (North America) and GBS (UK).

Please note: We are not currently accepting proposals except through an agent. However, in common with sister imprints Strange Chemistry and Angry Robot ™ , we will be holding an ‘Open Door’  to help us uncover exciting new unagented authors some time later this year.
