Angry Robot’s new crime fiction imprint, Exhibit A, has snapped up two thrillers by Sean Lynch, a recently-retired Detective Commander from a San Francisco Bay Area Municipal Police Department
Commissioning editor Emlyn Rees bought world English rights in Wounded Prey and The Debtors from Scott Miller at Trident Media Group, and will publish simultaneously in the UK and US in June 2013.
Wounded Prey tells the story of Bob Farrell, a retired cop who sets out to track down a brutal killer who escaped him twenty years before. But Farrell’s not playing by the rules any more than the killer is, and soon the FBI have got both of them in their sights…
Rees said: “Wounded Prey is a visceral and heart-wrenching cross between No Country For Old Men and The Silence of the Lambs. And in Sean Lynch, who in his time has worked S.W.A.T. and been honoured as Officer of the Year by his peers, we have a great new author, who not only knows how to write, but really knows what he’s writing about too.”
